Mandating Ethanol

NSW Premier Morris Iemma has announced that he is mandating 2% ethanol in petrol from September is he wins the NSW state election, a move along the way to 10% ethanol by 2011. This is a populist move, partly to NSW grain farmers that has no practical basis. Let’s look at the facts:
